It's Dental Health Week

Welcome to Dental Health Week 2016!

August 1 – 7 is the happy week of 'teeth' – where we remind, educate and encourage optimum oral health for all Australians. The aim of dental health week is to educate Australians about the importance of maintaining good oral health in every aspect of their lives, by promoting oral health education and awareness in the general community.

This year the ADA – Australian Dental Association – is focusing on Women's Health and how hormones can play havoc with a woman's oral health. Recent studies revealed that many women are unaware of the significant impact that various life stages have on the health of their teeth and gums. The reality is that major life events like pregnancy, puberty, menstruation and menopause, dramatically affect the state of your dental health if you are a woman.
